I started home improvement while I was in college building gorgeous curved Redwood decks in what is now where Google is located. My dad was a man who believed if you're going to build something, you build it right. I learned that lesson before I learned to drive.
Eleven years ago, I started the Outdoor Living Buys Company. The name of our website is different — It describes what we do, and only what we do. It's the line between what the what our customers want and what you build with your own hands.
I’m an owner-operator. That means I show up at every job site personally. I’m the one driving the screws, checking the levels, and making sure the work is something I’d be proud to put in my own backyard.
That’s not a sales pitch — it’s just how I was raised.
I believe in doing things right, treating people fairly, and building outdoor spaces that last. When you hire me, you’re not getting a crew you never met. You’re getting someone who takes personal responsibility for the finished product from start to finish.

We're a crew of one to four — Including me, because I'm out there every day. We don't subcontract. We don't hand your project off to someone you've never met. Every dock that carries the Grand Backyard name is built by our hands.
